The Account Services Collections, Inc team has been serving its clients for over five decades and has subsequently seen it all.
We are your classic success story. Started by Richard Goforth as a single person operation in 1970 in Downtown San Antonio, Account Services has become one of the most respected agencies in the industry today. Both Richard since 1970, and then Rick Goforth since 1984, have been heavily involved in the collection industry and the trade association that supports it. Richard and Rick have both provided extensive service to ACA International and ACA of Texas, holding virtually every office at the State and National levels, including Officer, Unit President, National Director and National Delegate positions, as well as chairing and participating in many committees.

Account Services prides itself in being on the cutting edge of technology. We’ve witnessed and participated in many advancements that improved our capabilities and the industry as a whole.
In the 70’s, we were one of the first to utilize computers to load and track accounts. In the 80’s, we again were on the leading edge as we converted to a “cardless” system where all account activity, including memos, payments and notices were entered and captured real time. And then in the 90’s, Account Services again took advantage of new technology to more efficiently contact consumers while eliminating non-productive results such as no answers, busys or disconnected numbers. Later, data and physical security became an area of focus, so we added technology that not only controlled and tracked physical access but also controlled and tracked remote access.
More recent advancements include Online Payment Portal that negotiates and accepts payments 24/7, Secure Credit Bureau Reporting, 24/7 IVR/Phone Payment, and most recently Omnichannel Communications. This feature enables consumers to communicate with our office the way the prefer most – Chat, Text, or Email, as well as phone and regular mail. All communication is conducted in our offices in San Antonio, none are outsourced overseas!
